Teaching with Scholarly Sources

In this workshop we will discuss scholarly articles and literature. We will view well crafted research assignments which require the use of scholarly sources and discuss the role of scholarly sources in student research. Help your students become better readers of scholarly articles and understand the information cycle. Learn how to link to articles in D2L for easy access by students. Use OneSearch to find scholarly literature in a specific discipline or subject area. Use OneSearch to follow the citation trail to connect to other related research. By the end of this workshop, you will have ideas for integrating scholarly sources into your assignments and for making scholarly sources more accessible to students.
