Make an Appointment
Use the location dropdown to specify where the appointment will take place. Selecting a different location will reload the appointment dates and times that are available to be booked.

Make an appointment in 3 steps. Step 1: Select a staff member. Step 2: Select an available date. Step 3: Select an available timeslot.

Please note: The Writing Center cannot conduct in-person appointments with students who are ill. Please call us at 517-483-1907 to reschedule for an online real-time appointment option if you are exeriencing any possible symptoms of COVID-19. Symptomatic students who attend in-person appointments may be asked to leave the Writing Center and reschedule.

Need to talk to someone about your writing? You're in the right place! Let's get you set up with an IN-PERSON appointment. Our staff provide individualized support to student writers on a wide variety of reading and writing tasks.

  • Appointments must be made a minimum of 1 hour in advance.
  • Appointments are 45 minutes in length and start at ten minutes after the hour.
  • Appointments will take place in the Arts & Sciences Building, Room 2214. 
  • You will receive a confirmation email with appointment information and a cancellation link.
